Admin be able to 'block out' certain timeslots

I'm using this module for a golf club booking system for teeing off times so this request may be unique to that scenario - I certainly haven't thought of any other cases where this might be useful, but anyway...
Teeing off times run from 7am to 6:30pm at every 8 minutes and there are 4 teeing off slots available at each timeslot, so this module is fantastic for that (thanks for all your work, David), but on certain days, the golf club has a society or a group booking and this means that normal teeing off isn't available to members or the general public. For example, a society of 20 people might book to start playing at 7:00am and the club may want to block bookings from 7am through to, say, 8am.
It would be great if admin could just go in and block out those timeslots.

Currently, the way to block out time periods would be for the admin to enter a fictitious reservation in those slots. For participant's name, enter something like "Reserved."
