As you mention in your description, there are some limitations.

1. Once enabled the comment luv plugin works on all content types, there is no way to turn it off for certain content types (if there is demand for this feature I will write it).

and this one would be nice to have, because sometimes I do not wish to have this function included in the comments. On blogs it is nice, but on some of my other content it would be not so welcome.
Please add this one if possible.
