Issue Summary

System info:
- Drupal 5.7
- Asset 5.x-1.0-beta1 2008-Mar-08

I decided to deleted some of the uploaded files. The files were deleted in the wizard. However, the files are still in the host with permission 0664. I cannot delete any files created by asset with this permission.

I access the host with ftp and webapp but with no shell access.

Please help
Thank you,
Andrew

I'm on this. This functionality was not added as something as a feature but I later added the directory removal which does delete the physical files. I'll fix this asap before releasing beta 2.

Asset module: 5.x-1.0-beta3

Hi wmostrey,

Thank you very much for your fast reply and action on this.

However, the issue is still there. I don't know whether it is because of the module or because the host setting, but it seems to be with only asset files. When the folders/files were deleted from the asset wizard, the folders/files were still in the host with permission 775/0664. And I cannot delete or change the permission. The issue happens with new created folders/files as well.

I access the host using FTP and Cpanel.

Best regards,
Andrew Do

Andrew, maybe this has something to see with your server's settings? When I try this both on my local sandbox and on my server, the file gets deleted as expected, both with when deleting an individual asset or when deleting folders.

Hi wmostrey,

I think the problem is similar to this:
http://drupal.org/node/105580

Sorry for posting this as an asset issue. This module is great, that's why I really want to figure out the problem instead of discarding it.

Appreciate your help,

Andrew

I'd rather have users report an issue too much than an issue too few :)
