Image swapping

Hi,
I have a 6.2 site with both English and Spanish. When a user flips between languages, how can I have some images that have also been localized (that appear within the template), to be displayed.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts regarding this.
Solution: simply use the .po
Solution: simply use the .po file to swap out the string names for each localized image.
