Don't know if this helps anyone but I did a quick five minute port of this to D6 so that the core functionality seems to be working. The only issue I see at the moment is that it can't remove the create content link from the menu. Functioning on my site anywayz. Oh, forgot to say, for whatever reason I changed the name...obviously easy to change it back.

Check out the Content Profile module for D6:

Project maintainer appears to not be involved in Drupal anymore. See #421932: CCK Taxonomy Super Select Ultra seems abandoned for similar case with another of rconstantine's modules that was marked as abandoned.

This hasn't followed the proper abandoned module procedure (http://drupal.org/node/251466), we should not take any action here. Not just any issue can be converted into a webmaster request to abandon a project.

Moving back to the project.
