It would be great if tags could specify an alternate namespace or none at all. For example, it would be nice to have something like <client:special_tag>. The namespace 'dme' requires explanation to clients who are not extremely technical who then want to know why they can't use something more meaningful.

I think that's possible, yeah. I worked on some DME tasks this last weekend, I'll see if I can't squeeze this in and do a development release, at least.
