During the work at the Norwegian localization server, there have been quite a few improvements of existing strings for 5.x in addition to the work on 6.x. It would be nice if a new, improved version of the 5.x translation is available here.
What is the preferred way of helping with this? Do you prefer to export the files from http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no/translate/languages/nb/export yourselves, or would it help if I export the files and make patches aganist the current translation?

I'll commit the improved files on Thursday (for nb 5.x-2.4).
No need to make patches actually. It'll just be extra work for the contributors. We, the maintainers can export files ourselves if there is a need for that. If contributors have done major changes at http://lokalisering.drupalnorge.no, they can just submit an issue here or post a topic at Drupal Norge and maintainers will be very much willing to commit the improved files.

5.x-3.0 is committed but has problems for the meantime due to translator error. See issue #319347: Translation error with nb translation original DRUPAL-5--3-0 tag
