Hi

I've been trying out ALinks (that sounds quite promising) but couldn't get it to work. It is installed, no errors I'm aware of, I've entered text values and the corresponding links. Unfortunately, content words are not replaced with links - including all the content types I use - pages, stories and book pages.

If it matters, the text used is in Hebrew, RTL, UTF-8 encoded.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
Amit

Well, it does work - but only when you check "beginning" and "end".

I am guessing it is down to the languge. I have been running Alinks for some time now using UTF8-general and do not need to use the beginning and end settings iirc you use those if the word starts or ends with characters not A-Z or 0-9 unfortunately i cant get to my site to check at present

Good day!

I've been checking in and out on Alinks module and found out this bug or something. In the teaser mode of a content type, some words that supposed to be a hyperlink were not a hyperlink at all. But when the content type is not in a teaser mode, i.e. viewing its full node, the words that were not seen as a hyperlink in the teaser mode were now a hyperlink in full node view.

Do someone have any idea about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I will ask the obvious

Do you use views, Insert views and contemplate ?

IIRC , and i think it was 'Insert views' there was a change at some point in the past that affected Alinks, causingh them to appear where they once did not

If you are using a view or insert view check if the words in the node itself has the words linked

then check the viiew and see if they are linked

and finally the page where it is inserted to see if they are linked

what can happen is on the page where the view is inserted , you miss the words existence before the views is inserted which can if you have the settings set to first occurrence, use your one use

Yes I'm using views and contemplate.

I've checked the node itself and it has the words linked.

I've also checked its view and the words were linked too.

However, when I view my newly created views, provided a page view and its view type is teaser list, some of the words were linked and some were not.

How do I exactly solved this one? And I just want to clarify this last sentence in your post. What do you exactly mean with this one?

what can happen is on the page where the view is inserted , you miss the words existence before the views is inserted which can if you have the settings set to first occurrence, use your one use

What settings do you mean? Did you mean in the admin/settings/alinks? Where you can set on which content type it will be affected and set the amount of occurrence to change the words into a hyperlink?

Thanks.

Refering to this bit

what can happen is on the page where the view is inserted , you miss the words existence before the views is inserted which can if you have the settings set to first occurrence, use your one use

What settings do you mean? Did you mean in the admin/settings/alinks? Where you can set on which content type it will be affected and set the amount of occurrence to change the words into a hyperlink?

There is a setting (Alinks LImit) that affects the amount of times a word will be linked, which is my inital guess ( i dont use teasers so can't be 100% sure how they get affected)

(Sorry i am no expert on this, just drawing on what has happened to myself using the module )

I've tried the module too and can't get links to show up. I've tried it with and without checking "start" and "end" but either way no links.

Forget it. Site configuration took care of it.
