If you'll try to attach any file to the node using Opera browser, after pressing 'Attach' button you'll get javascript error window "An error occurred: Unspecified error" (9.5version) and "An error occurred: " (9.27version), but after that file will be succesifully uploaded but without running progress bar.
I suppose that actually progress bar implementation is causing problems (misc/upload.js)

The easiest-dirty solution might be like this (see attached patch)

@ghostks: can you confirm this problem still exists (using Drupal 5.12 and Opera 9.6) ?

Looks like ghostks won't be posting any feedback. Setting this to fixed.

Feel free to reopen if you think that is wrong.

I can confirm that this issue still exists with Opera 9.64 and Drupal 5.16.

The patch from ghostks fixes it. The patch/suggestion in http://drupal.org/node/248146#comment-812688 works, too.

Guess this an existing bug. Question is if it is a bug in Drupal or Opera...

Let's see if we can get some more opinions.

Considering the lack of activity on this issue and that Drupal v5 is no longer supported by for fixes or patches, I am going to close this ticket.
