Strings don't appear in content [#253337]

Hi,

This module looks very promising and I tested it on my local machine (Drupal 5.7, Apache 2.2, PHP5.2), but it's not working for me. I can see the changed strings in admin/settings/stringoverrides, but not in content.

Also after import of the genrated from locale module .po file Firefox freezes when trying to open admin/settings/stringoverrides. Maybe there should be some warning in a readme file that the page could become heavy. Or a limit of the displayed strings.

It looks like version 1.5 does not work. 1.4 was working fine for me, but was not once I updated it.

I went back to 1.4 and replaced the one string I was replacing, now it works fine.

I'm also not seeing stings get overridden after a upgrade to v1.5.

[Edited] To add:
I went back to v1.4 and everything was working, so I tried to apply the patch from http://drupal.org/node/248284. It seems this patch that seem to break the functioning of the overrides.
