I am using a number of modules, including ubercart, which highly suggest using private file downloads. I've now activated this, but Imagecache stopped working.

I've read som thread, where it was stated that Imagecache should / could not work with private file downloads. I have it hard to believe that this should be the case when readin how many are using private file downloads...

Any suggestions how to get imagecache working again?

no imagecache 1.x does not work with private files. sry. You'll have to upgrade to 2.x for that to work.
