ok, this would be really helpful for me. I personally think the [node: 3242] Syntax is not user friendly.
This could work with a full normal url as well (as the url is already a pointer to the node and people know urls from youtube!)
in addition: work with cck and views (views_build_view)
that would require backend and database stuff - but could become really handy. have a look at the googtube module (http://drupal.org/project/googtube) from the node authors point of view, the usage is the same.

nah forget the views stuff (views_build_view) my fault I meant imagecache things. my fault.

worked a bit and wrote my stuff. problem solved. (Yay!!)
