This is identical to the proposed modification at http://drupal.org/node/28537#comment-758662 with the exception that the "v" prefix has been changed to "view" instead.

Any time you have duplicate node IDs in a view this will fail to validate.

This issue is over 2 years old, no changes are being made to views 1.x at this point.
