Drupal allows to enter non alphanumeric characters for taxonomy terms (/&%£)"=)

Hi Folks

I just realized that drupal allows users to enter non alphanumeric characters for taxonomy terms in free tagging vocabularies.
So I can define categories (AKA tags) with names such as "spots//£" or "&%/&$/&"..

How to fix / stop this ?
