I'm on D5.1 and have filebrowser 5.x installed. I have a particular directory specified for it that exists, but when I try to go there www.mydomain/folder, I get my same "page cannot be displayed" custom 404 error page. I also cannot access any existing directories on my site, so how do I get around it for filebrowser?

anyone? i guess i need to know if filebrowser should override any htaccess limits by default or if i need to do some manual tweaking.

i tried editing the htaccess folder in my www root to ignore blocking access to the particular directory, which worked in that i could access the directory instead of getting my custom 404 page, but what i got was a 500 error instead. i reverted my htaccess file, went back, and got my custom 404 page again.
