jsMath isn't working - help please
Eli Baskin - May 3, 2008 - 11:27
Hi,
I've installed jsMath plugin using the instructions, however when I try to test it, nothing is being parsed. This is the text I am testing with:
\begin{equation}\label{eq1}
\sum_{i=0}^{i=10} \phi_i(3)
\end{equation}
Does anybody here has jsMath working? Help please? :)
- Eli Baskin.

It works for me
I just installed jsMath module. But before I install I search here in this forum if there are issue about this module. So far, there are only few who used this, and I found your post. I try this module first in my local machine and it works fine, so I uploaded it to my live site and enable it. It works great.
Maybe you should consider revising your LATEX code from
to
\[ \sum_{i=0}^{i=10} \phi_i(3) \]
Doesn't work
Doesn't work and I don't get why.
Bah, this is getting rather annoying :)
Can I contact you, so we can try to solve it out together?
Sure but check this first
You can contact me via email rtfverterra@gmail.com
But try this first, maybe this is what happen. If you read the instruction of installing jsMath, I found a flaw in the instruction. The instruction is at http://drupal.org/project/jsmath
I am referring to instruction number 3:
The problem is when you download and extract the file it is under "jsMath/fonts" folders, not under "fonts" folder. If you upload it under the folder of instruction 2, the folder structure on your live site will become jsmath/jsMath/jsMath/fonts not the recommended jsmath/jsMath/fonts. Try to check this first and maybe this is the one that causes the problem.
I've made sure it is
I've made sure it is installed in the correct directory. The module is enabled, as well.
Still doesn't work :(
I receive your email.
I receive your email, but my anti virus prevents chat softwares to work properly, including im, ym and skype. Maybe you can post a link of your site so that I can see it first.

I took a screenshot of your site and jsMath now works. cheers.
