Is it possible to enable/disable the "forward" link for specific content types? Just like tinyMCE or upload.module?

See I'm building a site for a lawyer friend of mine, and he needs a private file sharing system. So I created a new content type, let's call it "attach". When he or anybody in his firm needs to share a document while out of office, they will simply upload it and then forward it through messagebox.module.

Problem to me is that every content type bears the forward link, revealing the system.

Or is it possible to have an attachment feature directly into messagebox?
