My review of my hosting provide :)

gtaniko - May 5, 2008 - 01:40

A Quick review of the Drupal webhost provider I use. I have been using drupal for about 2 years and I have loved everything about it, the way it works is just beautiful! Anyway people in this forum (the webhosting one) are looking for potential web hosts, so heres what I have to say about the company I'm hosted by.

Who they are: They are a company called web-hosting-buzz (Link Removed) based in Wilmington, DE 19809 USA,
Their Services: They provide an array or hosting packages but most importantly they have Fantastico installed so its instating install of Drupal basically and with packages starting from $3.95/Month (most basic) to dedicated servers,

My experience: I have been with WHB for about 2 years (the same time I started with my Drupal website, I got the most basic package, as for what you get with it, it caters for everything I need , High Bandwidth, mega space ect.. I have used customer support a couple of times, only to get things started, and their support was absolutely fantastic, I was getting responses with in a few minutes which amazed me. In the past 2 yeas I have one set of down time for about 2 minutes, which is 2 years is outstanding by my chart! As I have used site ground and they are nothing compared to what these guys ate like with support and up time, and that’s what everyone wants, uptime and support,
What makes things even better, is the now 24/7 instant message support, which I didn’t have when I started with them. so all in all top of the class

The package I use: I use the most basic of packages that they offer, and you in no way get lesser service for the lesser package, I got a free domain which is free for life! And the clincher, is if the price of you package goes up you stay at the same price you paid for (if you paid $4 P/M and it goes up to $5 next year You will still pay $4) but if the price drops your next payment will drop too, which is just the perfect blend. Also your domain is free for life (well as long as your with them as a host) if you need to move you can obtain your domain from them too if you need to (moving to a dedicated server for example)

The good and the bad: The good well I have explained all that above, the bad, well nothing muc to say here other than when I signed up they never used to have PayPal as a payment option, but now they do so I really have nothing to say,

And also one last thing here is a coupon to use at the checkout
Code:2008
Discount: $9.99 off the base price

Anyway that’s been my review happy host hunting!

Looking at your tracker, you've made 2 seperate comments about this host, now this thread about this host.

That's all that shows in your tracker, not one other post related to anything drupal, only hosts.

The domain that your email address here is attached to, doesn't bring up a site either.

It would be nice to see your site running on this host, not even a link to your site in your profile. Which makes me feel like you are simply spamming drupal.org

The reason why the site

gtaniko - May 5, 2008 - 22:15

The reason why the site doesn't show is im currently working on a website running joomla (link removed) that's running on this host so feel free to do a who.is but thats running perfect as per usual, I have a number of sites on this host :) all working like a charm I know joomla is not drupal, but my other website uses drupal but like I said its clsed for now as changing things around and uploading an IPB forum £70 of script lol :)

I'll be keeping an eye on your tracker ; )

Also note that if you do a search for the host, they show up many times by other users who also only post about the host and about nothing else.

gtaniko - May 8, 2008 - 21:04

Well that's my honest opinion about this host (who I'm hosted with) I understand about the spam element and why your kind of tight on these things, I would too, but like I said its understandable

But keep up the good work Drupal dudes!

One last thing I forgot to meantion

gtaniko - May 8, 2008 - 21:55

Is that paypal is now accepted, it wasn't available when I signed up a while back But now it is, Whch is a +1 I guess as quite a few Webhosting sites don't offer paypal as a payment service
