I've seen that using pathauto with drigg nodes is not recommended:
I'd like to use organic groups on my drigg site, which can make use of pathauto to clean up URLs. Seeing 'node' in the address makes me cringe :) Has anyone successfully used pathauto on drigg, excluding the drigg node types/profiles? Or is there a way to use drigg's built in aliasing with slight modifications to rewrite organic group URLs too?
Thanks,
.

mercmobily commentedHi,
Sorry, I can only answer this bit:
"Or is there a way to use drigg's built in aliasing with slight modifications to rewrite organic group URLs too?"
I've never actually seen Organic Groups. So, I am not sure. However, I don't think that's in the plan, to be totally honest. And no, pathauto is a recipe for disaster for Drigg...
I will leave this active for a while, in case somebody answers or sends in a patch. However, I have to be honest: I don't think it's going to go very far...
Bye,
Merc.

d0t101101 commentedCan you confirm that drigg's version of the pathauto function only rewrites the URL aliases for drigg node types and profiles? Or does it handle URL aliases for the entire site?
OG is a large module, but integrates well with drigg beyond the path issue. It offers a number of excellent features which could complement a drigg community. If I get this sorted I'll contribute the fix here.

mercmobily commentedHi,
What Drigg does is very basic: it's in settings.php, the function custom_url_rewrite(), and it only changes taxonomy, users and node aliases.
Have a look at it!
Thanks for your help :)

nimi commentedHello,
I get an "access forbiden Error 403" message every time I try to browse to one of my tag url's.
For example: http://www.example.com/tag/music
("music" is one of the terms listed in my vocabulary named "arts").
How can I fix this so that when I click on the tag's url i see a list of the tagged nodes?
Help appreciated,
Nimi.

mercmobily commentedHi,
@nimi: please don't hijack issues. I will ignore your message. If you have an issue, please describe exactly how you installed Drigg, and what problem you are having -- and possibly an URL with a ready-to-go login and password so that I can see the problem.
Bye,
Merc.

mercmobily commentedHi,
Poster disappeared, issue is MOST likely to be a server misconfiguration. Probably using Windows. Closing.
