There should be another option in the settings to set a default, beyond the one built into the module. Ideally, a sitewide default, set in the module settings, and then a second one per input filter (ie html, php, etc), with that overriding the sitewide, and then content type specific, overriding either of those.
Adding a checkbox "Use default" to each content type, and if set, then either the filter specific default, or the sitewide default (if no filter specific is set) is used. If unchecked, then the settings below it are used.
That way, it'll be easy to setup a site with more specific custom needs, and avoiding cut and paste into a dozen or more different boxes the exact same settings, and worse, discovering a change is needed, and having to reedit all of them again.

alpha2zee commentedThank you for the feedback. I agree with you and also had thought of something similar. I think I will await some more suggestions for the user interface (e.g., a tabular layout for a more compact form) before implementing code for them for the 2.0 release.
