Hi, can anyone help me with this?? I have absolutely no idea how to install drupal on a Windows XP machine with WAMP. Please any help would be appreciated..thanks..

Get your WAMP installation running. Put the uncompressed Drupal directory in your webroot. Point your browser to http://localhost/pathtodrupal/. It will walk your through the installation.

Hi i'm new to drupal

i'm currently using wamp(latest version). i tried installing drupal 6 on my system. it tells me to enter the database name and username. Did exactly that. error happens when i click next and a http 500 error occurs.

# MySQL client version: 5.0.51a
# Used PHP extensions: mysqli

no data has been written into the database.

Can someone please help me with this?

I followed steps described in INSTALL.txt file.
Created directory using MS Explorer instead of running unix commands and have installed all. But from here I need help from someone else... According to the final screen I supposed to be logged in as admin, but attempt to go to administration section brings up 'access denied' message. What is wrong? Please help.
