I have a long-standing habit of making all links which leave my site open in a new window. Perhaps this could be an option in a later release?

The code for the Digg button is served by digg itself, so this won't be an option.

As per http://digg.com/tools/integrate you can have digg_window = 'new'; inside the generated javascript. So, I think you should be able to make it configurable.

Yes I can make this an option in the next release for Drupal 6

The digg_window option does not work with the new Digg button http://about.digg.com/downloads/button/smart

In case this helps someone, I have made a Safari extension that overwrites Digg's default behavior of opening in a new window and forces links to open in the current window.
