the localizer.info file has not been updated with the latest version number, so update status is always banging on about a security problem that i must fix or my site will not be secure, even though i'm running version 3.4.

i've made a patch, but by the time this patch is committed to a new release, this patch will be wrong because it refers to 3.4.

knock knock? without this patch to localizer, everyone who uses it is reminded that there's a serious security problem that requires them to update, even if they've already updated.

You're not supposed to specify version at all in the .info files, it's added automatically by drupal.org. Just remove that line.
