This patch enables a third choice for the Content setting in detailed settings. This is Node view which basically uses the normal Drupal view call and thus displays whatever you would see in a full node display - thus, also the CCK fields depending on their display settings.

If anyone know a better html2plain converter than the 1 line str_replace I've used please post here!

Five years since patch was posted, three years since review was requested. Nobody has shown enough interest to review.

This feature is now part of the 7.x-branch. It is not in 6.x and will not be backported to 6.x unless someone else does it (if you want to do the job, feel free to reopen).

The 5.x-branch is no longer supported, so this is not going to committed now. Time to close.
