Marinelli 5.x - How to keep "just posted" from dominating the main page

Howdy ~ I LOVE the Marinelli theme. I am developing http://www.washparkvolleyball.com/ and in other themes, I can use -10 etc. to put the calendar or other modules at the top of the content. In Marinelli, the most recent posts dominate the top of the content area and I can't figure out how to get them off the main area of the page. Please help. Minor request... Thanks. Rick

Not really sure what you mean, I take it you are promoting everything to front and therefor have a teaser list as your main front page? And you dont want this, but rather some other layout on the homepage?
If so, then 1) dont promote posts to front and 2) build something else for the front page - I cant tell you how to do this since I have no clue what you actually want on the homepage :)
