I have already made my apology. Please give me a definitive answer.

I have been searching for several weeks now for the answer, only to find non helpful, outdated and irrelevant so called solutions to the problem.

I have the latest version of Drupal (6.2) and the latest version of FCKEditor

So I come cap in hand to the authors, to ask why oh why is such a great piece of software as FCKeditor, ruined by an unrequired

my stuff here<\p> tag in every single edit I make to my site?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaarg!!!

I too have noticed this problem. Every time I use FCKeditor it adds <p>&nbsp;</p> at the end. This messes up the vertical spacing - not serious, but annoying. I have not managed to track down the offending piece of code ... yet.

However, there is a work-around: after your edit, switch to plain-text mode, delete the unwanted garbage and then save without switching back to FCKeditor. That way it can't mess up your edit again.

Yes, this was my work around too. True, not the end of the world but very annoying! Such a great piece of work by the developers (many thanks guys and gals) to have such a grrrrrrrrrrrr in it.
