Not perfect but for shared hosting at $7 per month its pretty good. Once in a blue moon there is a short amount of down time. Most shared hosting stinks so the fact that they are ok says something

If you get something out of Drupal, consider hosting with a company that supports Drupal.

If your site is a small site, and traffic is not heavy, you can choose a shared linux web hosting solution, there are many good choice you can find in the industry, such as hostmonster, lunarpages, or anhosting. All of them will charge you less $7/month.

But if your site is a big site, with a lot of traffic everyday, let's say more than 3000 visitors/day, you can think about a VPS or even dedicated solutions. That's might be more expensive.

There's really no reason anyone should need a dedicated host for 3000 visitors/day, assuming one has paid some attention to their site design. Maybe if you're doing something with your site that really pounds the CPU. Probably wouldn't even need a VPS ...

As the record in my web site statistics database, 3000 visitors/day will bring around 18000 page viewing in average. My site is a Joomla site which might not perform at the same level of Drupal, but i think it should be close from design perspective. A shared solution usually cannot bring a good user experience to my customers even that's still acceptable somehow.

Since my site is a business, after migrate to VPS plan, it turns to be much better. But I expect someday, I can move to a dedicated solution, that means my business has moves to the next level.

I use Dreamhost for most of my sites and it works fine. Not very expensive, great control panel and lots of features. If you want to give it a try, use "drupal" as the promotion code, and you will get a discount...

I am not affiliated with mmhosting but we chose to use them. We have been using them for just under two months and have found the support to be great from the start. In addition the performance of the site is very good and mmhosting was very helpful with any questions we had.

Price is right and the service very good.
