Network Solutions & Drupal

dm85 - May 9, 2008 - 15:41

So I'm using Network Solutions and trying to install Drupal. Does anyone know how to install Drupal on a server at Network Solutions? I've search allover for info and haven't found anything substantial enough to get it working.
I'm using MySQL 5 and PHP 5.

Any ideas???

What is different about

What is different about network solutions servers from other servers? AFAIK, installing drupal is installing drupal-- I don't believe there are different installations (unless you're doing something with multisites and or shared tables).

As long as your host allows

As long as your host allows u to upload .htaccess files (which Yahoo web-hosting does NOT, for example), drupal should run. Sounds like you also have good enough PHP and MySQL too. Call your web-hosts tech support and ask about .htaccess files, etc.

FYI, I'm hosting with GoDaddy, and running Drupal 6 successfully. Send more info about errors you're getting and steps you're taking and someone can probably give more detailed answers here too.

Sincerely,
Andrew G
