Role 1 can't see nodes that Role 2 created

I have set up a content type, we'll call it "Foo."

I have a basic view that displays all Foo postings in teaser format.

A role 2 user created a bunch of Foo nodes. a Role 1 user cannot see these foo nodes that Role 2 user created.

UPDATE: I just realized, Role 1 users can't see ANY content that Role 2 users created. Stories, blog posts, etc. I've looked at the access control settings over and over but can't seem to figure it out.
