Hi,
I've had a look through the issues list and I can't see this addressed anywhere but desperately need an answer. My users are receiving emails from the privatemsg module as planned. The problem is that the link in the email doesn't allow them in.
The link reads:
To read your messages, follow this link:
http://www.vcommunity.org.uk/privatemsg
I've tested this myself and it doesn't matter whether cookies are enabled or not or even whether the user was previously logged in. As far as I can tell, the link just doesn't work.
The code that produces the link reads as follows:
To read your messages, follow the link below....
%link1
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this? Also, interestingly but bizarrely, I actually changed the text in the email directly in the module from "To read your messages, follow this link:" to To read your messages, follow the link below. Please note, if you do not have cookies enabled or have not saved your username/password in your browser, you may receive an error message when you try this link. If you do, please log in normally and then follow the link again or select my inbox from the my menu link on the toolbar. but in the emails that the users receive, it still shows the old text???
Regards
Patrick

with no cookies, http://localhost/privatemsg leads to a page with a login screen.
