How can i make a cvs release for version 6

i want to make a new release for drupal 6 for my module ecard

i tried steps here
http://drupal.org/handbook/cvs/quickstart

first i login using cvs password.

used commands
cvs checkout -l contributions/modules
cd contributions/modules
cp -r ~/drupal/ecard ecard

cvs add example
cvs add example/*
cvs commit -m "Initial commit of ecard for drupal 6"

( i have a doubt here whether i should make initial commitment for drupal 6?)

cd contributions
cvs tag -b DRUPAL-6--1 modules/ecard
cd contributions/modules/ecard
cvs update -dP -r DRUPAL-6--1
cvs tag DRUPAL-6--1-0

i didn't find anything in the server? i followed that guide for my first release it worked that time. can anyone help me with this? cvs always make me headache :(
