After over a year I FINALLY started working on a drupal site. http://blackbusinessparade.com/
one of the most pressing problems. I created an audio content- a 1.5MB , 40kbs speech over music file to be played on the front page. I didnt install the getid3 because i would not need it for this site. the problem is none of the players will appear and I tried all four of them in the admin>settings>audiosettings configuration. I cant figure out what is wrong, i have looked all over the settings trying to figure it out? any ideas? thanks!

this site is now hot, and being used, i had no real time to put it together and there is still a lot to do.

Bit rates and sample rates supported in Flash
Flash supports 8-bit or 16-bit audio at sample rates of 5.512, 11.025, 22.05, or 44.1 kHz. The audio can be converted into lower sample rate during publishing, but it is recommended that you use an audio editing application to resample and edit the audio files—outside of Flash. If you want to add effects to sounds in Flash, it's best to use 16-bit sounds. If you have limited RAM on your system, keep your sounds short and use 8-bit audio.

Tip: Your sound needs to be recorded in a format sampled at 44.1 kHz, or an even factor of 44.1, to assure proper playback in Flash. Working in an audio production tool built to produce "Flash-friendly" audio can save a lot of headaches dealing with subtle details. Later in the article we'll take a look at Soundbooth—a solution designed specifically for Flash audio production and integration with other Adobe tools.

I did get a trial of soundbooth, a very nice program and save my file in the appropiate rate. still didnt work. but just for giggles, I added the getId3 folder to the audio program, BINGO! the players show up and work! the install.txt says adding optional, but the players just wont work without the getid3 folder added. originally I had not added it because i felt i didnt need it. I didnt need metadata like album covers or track numbers, but i guess the flash players expect the getid3 to be there.
on to the next problem!
