is there any way to say that I don't want a certain region on certain pages?

on some pages, I would like to have more width, and do not need the information in the right column for that page.

but, for most pages, I have both the right and left column regions.

I can't figure out how to drop a region for just one page so that the content can have more room?

can anyone help? thanks

Just configure the blocks that you've located in your right column region so they aren't visible on certain pages. Your theme should take care of the rest by expanding the other column(s) across.

ok.. so, there is no "turn on/turn off" region type of option.
