Organic Groups Image Gallery Setup
I have tried unsuccessfully to set up a image gallery for each group in organic groups image gallery. I would like any help I can get here. I am using 5.7 and the modules I have installed and enabled are Adsense, CCK Core, Event, Image, Organic Groups, Amazon, Date API, Jobe Queue, Paypal, Poormanscron, Sign up, Token
Jquery, Views, Date/Time, Javascript, Javascript tools, TOC, Panels, Panels Styles.
I am definitely a noob. Started learning from near scratch just a little over 90 days ago.
I am going to bracket in the following help text the sections I am having trouble with. If you can help I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.
Start of help text:
OG Galleries
1. Go to Views and create a views view to use as the default galleries page. A default view is provided, but it can be altered or you can create your own. An OG Galleries view must have the following components:
* Three arguments, the OG Galleries group id and two taxonomy term ids. ((cannot find and do not understand this request. Can anyone please explain how to do this. What is the group ID and where can I find them? Where do I put this information in the form? Taxonomy terms?? Same questions, where and where?))
* A page type of OG Galleries. This will create configurable themes for the view.(( I found page section but no page type. It offers a view type is this the correct place to select a Page type?))
* A page url, which will become the url to view the OG Galleries.(( I think I get this but, is there a special code so that the machine knows each a separate group?))
* Optional, for a block view set the block type to OG Galleries, too. This will create configurable themes for the block view. ((I want this so I can position the gallery?))
* Optional, a menu, filled out to display the Galleries in your navigation.(( I only want to show this in the group which the gallery belongs))
* A content type filter, set to display the content types that can be added to galleries. Node types can be image nodes, CCK nodes, or anything else.(( So which is what? I want something that shows images, right? ))
* NO node distinct filter. OG Galleries needs to be able to place items in more than one gallery and the node distinct filter interferes with that ability.((I selected; post in current group, is this good?))
2. Go to Settings and identify the galleries view.((Starting to laugh here. Do I yell hey you're at gallery?? Ok seriously, I'm guessing and I do mean guessing here that this means go to the organic groups configuration but I goota tell you when I get here I have no clue how to set this up either. Starting to feel really inept))
3. In Access, identify the roles that should be allowed to add or edit galleries.(( I'm pretty sure I know what this is but here again there is no choice to select and grant user permission for add or edit galleries only administer))
4. Go to Groups, choose the Group home page, and select the 'Galleries' tab to add and edit galleries for the group. Site administrators can also administer galleries at Categories.(( so at this point I assuming that I have do so much wrong that this is why I don't see any of these features listed on the group page.))
5. Once all these things are done, add or edit a node that belongs in one of the galleries and you will see a list of galleries the node can be added to.
End of Help Text.
Help. Help. Help. I have read and reread everything I could get my hands on to solve this issue. I have the books, now outdated that explain this, and they are no longer able to clear it up. I have checked the forums. I went to drupal groups, lullabot, youtube, etc. I waited a really looked hard before asking for help. Now I'm asking.
And I really do appreciate anything you could do to help. I would also be happy to document how I did this for others who are coming to Drupal once I learn how to do this.

me too..
