Help improve Benjamin Melançon's great CMT module!!

Hey there,

The Community Managed Taxonomy module by Benjamin Melançon is a great module to let site users manage their own taxonomies, not only by tagging content, but also by letting users vote on which tags should represent the content, and also by letting the same users build the hierarchy of terms on the site.

For more details, please have a look here :

http://drupal.org/project/cmt

I make a call to the Drupal community to help me raison money to bring the CMT module to the next level by adding the following enhancement:

Make a cck field with several tag choices, where people can actually vote on which tag is the most adapted to the node. You can then add several fields, to create a multi-faceted description of the node. Once a term has been selected by a certain amount of users, it will be selected as the official "tag" for the node.

The functionnality we're trying to achieve is similar to this one : http://www.yelp.com/biz_attribute?biz_id=0roc6csVKYZek68Er2uvZw

If you have a look at the additional infos section, you will see the possibility to tag a node, according to your experience and to see the number of votes for each possible tag choice. The most popular tag choice for each "vocab" is then passed on the "view" of the node, as the official tag...

Note that this will be a cck field, so it's really flexible!!

If you want to help get this feature in and also more really cool features like AJAX tagging on the teasers and enhanced performance, please Chip In! here!

Hope to have some people add some money to this project since it's really powerful way to let users tag nodes, like events or "places"...
