How can I import a new theme?

espion - May 12, 2008 - 10:28

I have correctly installed Drupal 6.2 on my Window XP. I tried to import a new theme by dowloading it, extracting the new theme, copying the folder of new theme under my drupal "themes"directory together with other default themes.

I then start the WAMP server, and goto 127.0.0.1, but in Administer -> Themes page, I still do not see the new theme.

Anybody could help me please?

Thank you!

First thing, make sure you downloaded the correct version-- if you're using d6, d5 themes won't appear in the list. You have to use d6 themes.

I think simply unzip your folder to drupal_home/themes
and try to refresh the page...

check whether it's drupal 6 compatible (see the .info file)

The folder you have copied the theme are wrong.
Copy the theme to sites/all/themes/ not themes/.

Hope this will help.

Same issue

chbevers - May 14, 2008 - 00:42

I am having the same issue. I have installed 6.1 Drupal and the theme but they are not showing up in Drupal. They are in the sites/all/themes directory on the server. Any ideas?
Thank you.
