Multiple Archives and changing the URL

Issue Summary

I was wondering if it was possible to have separate monthly archives for each content type instead of having them all together? Also is it possible to change the URL, so that instead of using 'month' I could use 'mycontenttype/month'?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
