Would it be possible to get the Piclens module to recognize image nodes in the category view and add in a Start Slideshow link? In our site we're heavily using categories for managing photos and grouping them in different ways. It would be great if we could continue to highlight the Piclens slideshow option on these pages as well.

Mmm, can you just give an example of what you mean (like a link or so), because I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

Sure, here's an example. This isn't the site I'm working on (it's not public yet), but this furniture site shows how it is possible to list the image nodes by category/taxonomy rather then by album. This displays things differently then when viewing them as an album. It looks like this:

Would there be a way to turn on Piclens for a given vocabulary so that when listing nodes in a categories in that vocabulary, the start slideshow links shows up?

Ok, got it, shouldn't be that difficult to fix. I'm just thinking if I should add this feature as
1) a separate submodule, say piclens_taxonomy with image and taxonomy as dependency)
2) or merge this with piclens_image_gallery as image galleries are terms anyway.

Hmm, I think I'll go for the second option, seems more natural. First moment that I have some time will be on friday, I'll let you know when you can test it.

Now that I think of, you requested the support for acidfree albums, so I'd better make this work for both I guess ? Or would a piclens_taxonomy option be more interesting than? what do you think ?

Hi,

Next built has a new submodule called taxonomy_image. If you enable this, browsing through categories with image nodes will enable piclens feeds and support for piclens lite. Let me know if it's ok!

Swentel, thanks again for your prompt response on this. I downloaded the May 17 build and turned on the new "Piclens Taxonomy and Image support" module. However, my categories with image nodes aren't showing any start slide show links yet. Not sure what the issue is. I'm not seeing any errors. If necessary, email me for access to the site for testing.

I am using Acidfree, but I don't think that should be a major factor here since it shouldn't be involved in a simple category display of image nodes. I also tested it in the default Garland theme and couldnt' get anything to come up.
