There's this great new module by merlinofchaos called Advanced Help. It was written to provide help for views 2, but is much more than that. I would love to see this module on 5.x but it's not something I have the b/w to take on. I know putting a post in the forum asking someone to port a module for free is about as useful as wishing for a pony but it's a new module, not really publisized, and I'm hoping someone will see it and go "oh, cool, I need that for 5.x" and do it. :)

One step beyond that is what I want to do with it on 5.x: provide help for node forms. It would be so awesome to have these little blue question marks next to all the CCK fields for pop up help when regular users are entering nodes. So, as long as I'm wishing for a ponyport, I thought I'd toss in my ultimate goal.

So, anyone else want little pop up helps for CCK fields on node forms? Anyone with the time and skills to do it? Pretty please? :)

I know this is an old post, but if you're still interested, I have ported advanced help to 5.x. It's not yet committed, but you can keep up to date with progress on this issue: #284403: Backport to D5.

I'm hoping to get a 5.x-dev version out there very soon.

Glad to see someone has taken this up. I'm still a long ways off of moving to D6 on my biggest site. Far too many contrib modules.

Unfortunately, the module I really wanted it for was APK, which is on hold right now. Hmm... I'll have a look and see if I could use it with AF. Might be a bit, though. I worked on AF a lot yesterday but need to do client work today.
