Hi,
I'm using Dripal 5.2 and I've installed the module, set up some protections, etc.
When I create a new user, it says "parent has been protected from the following editing operations: username, password, status, roles, deletion"
However, if I then log in as "Parent", go to the Edit tab I can edit everything.
Sorry if I'm being stupid. Can you help?
Thanks.

hunmonk commentedplease carefully read all the documentation that comes with the module. i believe it thoroughly explains how things work.
in your case, 'parent' gets protected from _other_ user admins that might try to edit that account. a user usually has permissions to edit their own account, at least in some respects.

sigol commentedAhh! Now I understand. It stops *other* people from editing their account. Sorry, I want the ability to stop the user from editing their own account because it's a communal one. Do you know of a way to stop this?
Thanks for your help.
Sigol.

mediameriquat commentedAs said in comment #2, I also want the ability to stop the user from editing their own account.
I need a communal user, so that a couple hundred people can share the same ID/password and see specific contents -- without being able to see or change the user's parameters.
Can't seem to get this working. Is this the right module for doing this?
