I went into post settings to set the Teaser length for all blog entries to 800, and went back to previous blogs to resave them – in order to get them to resave with this new Teaser set-up. But when I went to the Blog page, all the blog entry text has become large, italicized and squished together. What did I do wrong? What do I need to do in order to make the text look like the way it is formatted? Thanks for any help you can give.

How is this problem related to blog_theme. module?
I think you should have a look at your theme and ask the theme maintainer.
