There's a thread about a forum Competition, is a good time to post about the best front page in Drupal. This is one of the best ones for me http://www.9lives.be/

I know I helped develop the site but our design team did a great job on the front page.

This was a joint effort with Josh On and myself -- I can't take all the credit...

I hope Tufte would be proud. ;)

I think DrupalModules.com has a pretty nice front page (although the individual module pages are nicer).

We're pleased with our home page on Spirit Library, especially after the new tabs we've introduced there.

The page was created using Panels2 - more info is in this write up

We do plan to add a cluetip style system to show more details about each message when you hover over it.

Since there was a recent write-up on the site and I keep going back, I'd like to plug Eureka! Science News as having a nice front page. It fills it up with content and images automatically, and I find the columns to be quick and easy to read. Sometimes it can get a little busy, but hey... there isn't a human around double checking every layout it comes up with. : )

I just found this site http://webwarriortools.com/ and added it to Drupal Museum. It's really clean and elegant.

If you happen to read this,

I'm curious, did you use Acquia Marina? I ask because I'm working on a site using it and I'm trying to make mine as unique as possible. I have to say you and your design team did a great job!

What about http://www.blacksins.de/ ? :)

cmstips.org certainly doesn't take the win, but is worth mentioning since it it utilizing the fervens template, a very nice layout. Easy on the eyes.

streamcaptain.com, my other site, is utilizing the cumulus module on the front page, which I believe is a real eye grabber.

Cumulus is a handy little utiltity that displays taxonomy tags in a very clever and unique way. Check it out!

I love the combination of colors in cmstips.org. A question... why comments looks like a forum?

dreadfulcode’s picture

Thanks jose!

I checked some checkbox somewhere....forget where.... "treat comments like forum posts"

No advantages in way of aesthetics, just a random click:)

but I though I should list a couple of sites here...

our website is continuously changing, looking for an identity...

I have experimented with other types of layout like in http://imaudioevents.com.

And finally just an exclusive peak preview at a beta version of one of our latest jobs:

imaudioevents.com- interesting idea! Thought I was about to make a phonecall rather than navigate the site....:)

jdeg’s picture

hahahaha!!! Yeah, nice navigation site...

I really like this: http://noneinteraction.com/

It's mean to be like an old tv set, you can switch over the channels...

Thanks for your comments and feedback, we try our best!

Actually, i like it. Is a different way to make a design. Is normal see cool navigations with Flash, but not in HTML/CSS.
