Hi,

I am investigating the possibility to setup a multi level hieararchy with this module.

It would be a geo hierarchy like
world
-europe
--germany
---munchen
-africa
--kenya

etc

and at the very bottom would be the actual content like photos.

Can I have all the parent nodes (the geo hierarchy like Europe, Germany etc) only show photos belonging to them? Basically, all the parent items would only be views of the children?

Yep, the bundled module 'nodehierarchy_views' allows you to embed a view of the node's children in it's content. You can choose any pre-existing view, so you can further adjust the display and ordering of the children with the views ui.
