Description

Seems ubuntu's ffmpeg install doesn't come compiled with mp3 support. Which is quite a pain. While not this modules fault, i think a help text about it somewhere could skip quite a few support requests and confusion.

You can get a mp3 enabled version from

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

Two other options:
* roll it yourself on debian/ubuntu http://www.24b6.net/?p=188
* download it http://mediamover.24b6.net/ffmpeg

I just tried the http://mediamover.24b6.net/ffmpeg method, which works great !
