Hello.

I intend to use "daily" for the monthly content that will be going on the main page. There's three types of "content" that will be being used with Daily (announcements, comics, and monthly articles by contributors to my site).

I've installed daily, and set up vocab for it. The category is named monthly, with announcement, and comic as vocabulary right now.

Now, I'll admit that I'm running on low amounts of sleep, bouncing to music, and -just- discovered this module today.

I am in the process of "porting" my original site http://kristinahall.net/qwo to http://queerwomenottawa.net . I'm basically creating the site from absolute scratch with drupal 6.2 and I'm adding a bunch of new features. So it's somewhat in a test site phase. :)

Think you can give me a basic walk through on how to post an announcement using this module?

Thank you sooooooo very much I appreciate it.

  1. Check at Administer » Reports » Status Report whether you have configured everything correctly for the daily module. If not, check the help text for daily at Administer » Help » Daily.
  2. Start creating a new node at Create Content. It should be of one of the types the daily vocabulary has been associated with, as listed at Administer » Content Management » Taxonomy.
  3. You should enable the Enable as daily content checkbox beneath Daily Content in the node edit screen.
  4. Save the node.
  5. Now create a daily container at Create Content.
  6. Choose the vocabulary term you associated the just created node with.
  7. Save the node and view it.

Have fun,
  Frodo

The 6.x-1.1 release will also contain a walk-through in its help text.
