Is 5.5 to 5.7 an issue?

I'm upgrading from 5.5 to 5.7. Should this be as easy as just overwriting the core with the new files? Do I need to do anything else?

Check the update.txt file in
Check the update.txt file in the core directory, and providing you follow the instructions, it should be as simple as assembling IKEA furniture (or easier!).

- keep your files
- keep your modifications (settings.php, .htaccess, theme)
- take the site off line during the operation
- run update.php at the end.
No harder than updating your modules to their latest 5.x releases.
