I noticed that some Drupal pages have an "export as xml" link. I've also seen the import-export module in CVS but it doesn't seem to be maintained and hasn't been ported to 4.6, http://drupal.org/node/14858 . So I'm wondering: is there a way to create XML docs and import them into Drupal? Dare I say, could one even create a document in word, save as xml and import it? What is Drupal.org using for xml export of pages?

I think it would be great, if we could import Word XML docs into the book module.

By any chance, is this being planned?
