What is th3e difference between 5.7 and 6.2?

I recently downloaded 6.2 but could not get through with what I intended because many of features I am interested in are still not fully developed.I could not get tinymce, panels, views, pathauto to work on drupal 6.
I have a site running on drupal 5.2 and I am very happy with it and the vast amount of contributed features that I use on the site.
I wish someone can give me the difference between the 5.7 and 6.2

An important difference
An important difference between all Drupal major releases is that their APIs are always incompatible and their modules need to be rewritten. This is a result of this policy:
- On backwards compatibility: the drop is always moving
- Dries Buytaert: Backward compatibility
To get a more specific idea about what this means in practice, see:
- Converting 5.x modules to 6.x
- Converting 5.x themes to 6.x
Minor releases, on the other hand, don't have API changes except in very special circumstances.
The difference between 5.7
The difference between 5.7 and 6.2?
0.5. Bwhahahah!!!
But seriously, 6.x is the newest Drupal release. This means both that it has some important features that are better than 5.7 and also that it does not have nearly so many available add-on modules. (It takes time for module developers to catch up with Drupal core upgrades.)
If you are choosing between the two, I would suggest looking at the currently existing modules for version 6 and deciding whether this is enough to get you going with the expectation that more modules will be available soon. (The will.) If so, you are probably better off going with version 6. If not, you may want to stick with 5.7.
I started with Drupal just as version 5 was released. This meant that there were lots of version 4 modules existing that were not available for version 5. For a while this was frustrating, but I found over time that more modules for version 5 appeared, and I am now very glad to have begun with version 5 rather than version 4. It saved me from either having to do a core version upgrade (which sounds like a chore) or running a quickly outdated site.
If I were just beginning a new site now, I would choose Drupal 6. For my existing sites, for now I am sticking with Drupal 5, and will upgrade once the necessary modules are released. (Oh, I hope it was a typo when you said you are using 5.2. If not, I definitely suggest upgrading to 5.7 toot sweet.)

Echo the sentiment
I want to echo the sentiment of the original post. I have a family genealogy site that I want to tackle in Drupal, and one of the "or bust" features for me is the ability to easily playback mp3s ripped from CDs. I have found CCK and love it so far, but if I can't add add this field to my content type, then there's no incentive for me.
I understand with the new versions there is always growing pains, and I think I'm just going to stick with it until something gets updated, but it's definitely frustrating when all of the "good" modules are incompatible.
Phew. I'm better now.
here you go
Here's the list of differences.
