need to set an expire time for items added using the Asset module

We may need to set an expire time for items added using the Asset
module. There is a Drupal module for content expiration but that works
on nodes. please help me to set expire time for asset item.

The ubercart in my drupal 6 is disabled and i can not enabled it because it has a red X at the check box

I want to delete/expire any picture or media file that is uploded by "asset" module after expiration time. Does Drupal provides this type of the module.
