Calendar

I would like to put a calendar on my site where I can put some event's, I've already tried with archive module but the calendar that apears desfigurate all the layout (how can I chage his apperance) and how can I configure adding events?

You do not say which version
You do not say which version of drupal you are using but Drupal 5 has both the event module and calendar+cck+views modules. Though the later takes 3 module I prefer it because I find it easier to theme the output.

I've tried to put the modules CCK views and calendar but in block the options related are switch calendar and calendar legend when I active them, nothing apears, do you know what kind of thing I'm doing wrong?

Probably nothing. If you are using version 2rc of calendar the calendar switcher does not seem to be working yet and the calendar legend only seems to be active if you have ical feeds.
